About this assignment

We are looking for a couple that likes to explore the Pacific Northwest. We are on the edge of the Olympic National Park. They must be able to handle minor situations that may come up. For example, We are on a well that is fed from a spring. Kwowledge of general maintenance is needed in the event of problem.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We have 8 chickens that need to be fed. House kept warm with either our heat exchanger or wood stove. To call us in the event of a problem they are unable to solve.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are on 18 acres that is mainly treed(West coast rain forest). Minutes from the Straight of Juan de fuca. Close to the Olympic Discovery Trail, Cresent Lake, Hurricane Ridge, Pacific Ocean, and a one and have hour ferry ride to Victoria, Canada. Day trips to Seattle are easily done.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The house and property is in the state of upgrade. The house is being finished and is in a livable state. The property is hilly and you must be in good shape to get around. It is a bit of a hike to get to the well that should be checked a couple times while you are looking after the property.
