About this assignment

The House Sitters must have reliable transportation as we live out in the country. We prefer a couple especially since this is a two month+ sit. (We travel by motorhome and are therefore somewhat flexible with timing. We listed 'hard dates for our needs as to our departure and return times as required by the listing. We also take into consideration weather and sitters timing.)

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Our needs are primarily for a presence in the home and to care for it as well as caring for Sylvia, and Spooky - collect mail, water plants etc. We have no livestock to care for other than our beloved kitties.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are located in the Colorado Northern Front Range 3 miles west of I-25 in a mostly quiet farm location on a gravel road which has only local traffic. The small downtown of Johnstown, CO is within 15 minutes has most of your basic needs. However, within less than an hour are all the amenities of Denver, Boulder, Longmont, Estes Park, Loveland, Fort Collins and Greeley - - not to mention Rocky Mountain National Park.

Our home is a ranch style home with garden level basement including large master bedroom and bath with walk-in shower. You would, however, have the use of the main level with kitchen, dining and living areas and attached garage. The upper master bedroom, den and master baths would not be included.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Again, the couple needs reliable transportation for groceries and other needs and day trips to local towns and cities. Also, if you had any problems, it would be best for all concerned that you have a someone close by. Sleeping accommodations are on lower garden level with easy stair access and outside entrance if needed.
