Cozy Townhouse in Ottawa with lovely cat Lola

About this assignment

We are looking for a calm, responsible and reliable person who enjoys staying in a quiet neighbourhood. We also expect that you are a non-smoker and if you are cooking vegetarian that would be great - but it's not a must.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We want you to keep the house clean, care for Lola (our cat who is on some of the photos), our indoor plants and our sourdough. The potted plants only need to be watered and Lola has an electric dry food feeder that is programmed and she gets wet food once a day. Lola is rather shy, but once she gets used to you, she really likes to be cuddled.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our 3-bedroom townhouse is situated in a very quiet and safe residential area, our backyard is adjacent to a little park. The Rideau river is 20 minutes walking distance, and the next OC Transpo bus stop is 5 minutes walk. We are close to green space where you can walk. Our neighbours left and right are also our friends and will answer any questions. We have a small backyard, but there is no care required for the plants at this time of the year.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

As already mentioned above, we are not far away from downtown Ottawa (Byword market and Parliament Hill) but the residential area we live in is a quiet neighbourhood. We are living 15 minutes car drive from Gatineau Park where you can do all sorts of winter and sports activities.
