About this assignment

We are looking for a dependable, honest, non-smoking, single or couple house sitter with experience in maintaining a home who can handle minor repairs and manage contractors for larger issues, if they arise.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Identify when home utilities, for example, faucets, toilets, AC/Heat and well-water pump are not properly working. Monitor and maintain the water level in the pool. Monitor pool pump and components to make sure they are working correctly. Our water supply is from a well, therefore you will need to monitor the water tank level with your usage. What are the good features of the property and location

Our 3,700 sq. ft. home is on a wooded 5.5 acre lot with lots of privacy. Approximately 1 acre is fenced with a beautiful pool and deck. We have a large covered porch with an outdoor kitchen and TV. We also have a two car garage. Our street has 15 homes and no outlet. It's a friendly private neighborhood.

Our quaint downtown area has local restaurants and wine bar and only 2 miles from our home. Groceries and other shopping is about 4 miles.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We would like a house sitter for a minimum of 6 months. You will need a car if you want to get around. Uber and Lift are not good options. WIFI and electric will be $175 per month to defray the total cost.
