Pet, Home and Pool Care Needed for Vacation

Hello! We are looking for a responsible and caring house sitter to look after our home, pool, cat (Phillip, the Ninja Cat), and dog (Evan) while we are away on vacation. Our furry friends are a big part of our family, and we want to ensure they are well taken care of in our absence. We have maid and pool service, but it is always nice to have someone catch things as problems occur.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Pet Care: Feed, walk, and play with our dog. Ensure our cat is fed and given plenty of attention.

Pool Maintenance: Regularly check the pool water level to keep it clean and safe. Detangle the pool sweep hose whenever it gets tangled.

General House Care: Keep the house generally tidy and secure. No dusting is necessary.

What are the good features of the property and location

You will have the run of our 2400 square foot home with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms & 30,000-gallon pool and separate Hot Tub. We are located in Northwest Dallas near Marsh Lane and are within 2 miles of, I-635 (LBJ Freeway), North Dallas Tollway and I-35E. There are more than a dozen restaurants within a 1-mile radius and many more within 3 miles. We are also located a few blocks from the Northaven Bike/Walk Trail.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Experience with pets, especially cats and dogs. Our pets are very friendly, but the dog can be shy until he gets to know you. They sleep in the bed with us.

Basic knowledge of pool maintenance, such as emptying skimmers, detangling the pool sweep hose and knowing when to add water.

We expect that you will live & sleep in the house while we are gone. The dog is able to be left for up to 8 hours without being taken outside.
