Relax in Rural Bulgaria

About this assignment

The dates are not fixed at the moment but it will be around the last weeks of August to the first week of October for from 4 to 6 weeks. I would like the sitter to come at least a few days before I leave to introduce them to my pets and place.
The most important thing is that you will love animals and be capable of taking good care of my dog 'Bean' and my cat 'Tilley''.
Bean is very friendly but a little wilfull and will need someone who has some experience with dogs.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

To look after my pets and walk my dog. Also possibly some gardening if that is desired (if not it isn't required). The pond may need topping up and if the swimming pool is viable it may also need some attention.

What are the good features of the property and location

I live in a very peaceful village that has one small shop. It is picturesque with the river Yantra running below, there are also nice walks around. The nearest large town with supermarkets, restaurants and cultural sights is 24kms away.
From here you can explore areas of Bulgaria, plenty of monasteries and caves.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

It would be better if the sitters have a car as the bus service is practically non existent. This is a quiet village with elderly people so if you are looking for excitement and parties it is not for you!
On the other hand if you enjoy nature and peace you will fit right in.
Most of the locals don't speak English however, there are a few expats in the village who speak English and who would help you out if need be.
