About this assignment

We’re looking for someone considerate, compassionate, clean, and resourceful. Someone who genuinely loves animals, is confident and calm with dogs, and will treat our home with care. Ideally someone present and grounded—not out all day—and happy to settle into a peaceful rhythm with our little crew.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
• Feeding the animals on their regular schedule (the dogs, cat, and pond fish will absolutely remind you!)
• Daily walk for the dogs—ideally one hour off-lead, easily done along the coast or at nearby green spaces
• General companionship—the dogs are happiest when someone’s around and present
• Basic cat care—Meowzie is very independent, but needs feeding and the occasional chat
• Keeping the pond fish topped up and fed (very low effort)
• Watering the plants and generally enjoying the garden while keeping it healthy
• Keeping the house tidy and cared for as you would your own

It’s a simple, steady rhythm—and you’ll have lots of time to relax and explore between tasks.

Things to Consider Before Booking:
• Enola is loving and well-trained, but can be protective of her ball if other dogs approach during play. Awareness and confident handling are key.
• There may be occasional food deliveries while we’re away—just simple things that will need to be brought inside and put away.
• We live near the beach, and with that comes sand—lots of it. We’ve got mats, towels, and a routine to manage it, but be ready for a bit of sweeping here and there!
• Our home has a relaxed, creative feel—if you’re looking for pristine and minimalist, this might not be the right fit. But if you love character and comfort, you’ll feel right at home.
