House/Cat Sitter Needed for Arlington, VA, USA

About this assignment

I am looking for a house sitter who is trustworthy and reliable; who is good with cats; who has experience owning and/or managing a property; who is flexible and drama-free.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

In exchange for free accommodations, I would like the house sitter to keep the house clean, feed and care for my cat, take out the trash, collect the mail, keep porches clean and free of debris, water indoor plants, weed and water outdoor plants and shrubs as necessary, and address any emergencies that may arise.

What are the good features of the property and location

My home, while older, is well maintained and comfortable. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 and 1/2 baths and is located in a quiet Arlington, VA neighborhood that is surrounded on 3 sides by parkland; just 10 minutes from Washington, DC. Public transportation is within short walking distance. Wifi, all utilities provided. You will have a sunny bedroom with a small closet, work table, dresser and comfortable double-size bed.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The house has 3 sets of stairs. Public transportation is available, but it may be useful to have a car for shopping and short errands. Washington summers can be hot and humid.
