We are now looking for a couple, maybe of retirement age, who want to take a relaxing break in our home .

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Keeping the cats fed and watered, keeping plants watered, possibly some gardening, making sure the electricity gets switched back on after a thunder storm, to keep freezers going !

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a National park in SW France its a beautiful place to hide away, we are on the outskirts of a small hameu. and have French neighbours. and other people live further up the mountain so pass our house. There are many wonderful walks, climbing and kayaking is also possible !
For anyone loving wildlife and nature, we have many interesting birds, insects, animals and flora is equally represented. We have a blog which is available to any interested party, its mainly insect and plant pictures.
The old railway line in the bottom of the valley was turned into a cycle path a few years ago, and we have bikes.
We are only 2 hours from Spain and 1 hour from the Med. coast.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our house is in the mountains, therefore there is a mountain road to get here.... generally quiet even in the height of summer. Fabulous view down the valley...see picture.
During the time we are away, there are potentially some problem solving to do...ie after a storm the electric sometimes trips out.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
