We are travelling overseas and need someone very honest and reliable. The commitment to stay the period is essential as the pets require your attention every day. The sitter should be an animal lover.
Alva, our 10 years old dog, needs to go for a walk three times a day at least - in the morning (about 8:00 flexible) in the forest across the road- she will meet up with her other canine friends and get all the news. Then about 2pm she needs a bit of exercise for about an hour, either in the forest or on the ELBE river bank/beach . About 5pm she likes to play fetch with a ball - there is a park nearby. She is fed twice a day. She is very friendly and well socialised. The cats are easier to care for - feed twice a day and let them in and out and clean the toilet. Check your bag before you go shopping, they sleep anywhere General house cleaning is required although we do have a cleaner coming every fortnight so not alot to do.
You will be living in the western part of Hamburg close to all amenities, quiet but central. A bike is at your disposal and the village of RISSEN is 3 minutes away. The ELBE is 10 minutes away - Great for a walk with Alva and to watch the ships go by. A Forest is across the road, also good for walks. Our modern apartment is about 50 sq metres with kitchen, bathroom, livingroom and bedroom . The Terrace is great for a quiet wine and is very private with established garden. You will be living in one of the world‘s most vibrant cities. The city centre is 18 kms away, bus stop 50 metres away. Public transport is excellent.
You will need to be committed to the pets. You will need a passport and, depending where you come from, a visa (unless you are German)- otherwise the Schengen agreement allows for a three month stay so further travel in Europe (without the menagerie) is something one might consider. An aquaintance with the German language would be a bonus but not essential. Most people speak English.
No, sorry.
