About this assignment
Reliable, not hectic, who will leave the house as they found it - a family house.
Let the cats sit beside them on the sofa, and use the house as a base - either for a holiday, an online work break, or for pre-term flat searching etc.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Someone who will stay in the house, feed the 2 sweet and personable cats (mother and daughter), water the plants, lock the doors, and, preferably, enjoy Edinburgh!
What are the good features of the property and location
The semi-detached house is about 20minutes walk from the centre, very near bus routes if you aren't wanting the (rather nice!) walk. It is near the Commonwealth Swimming pool (which has a gym and classes too), and near Arthur's Seat, the hill at the heart of Edinburgh. Also a lovely cycle or quick bus ride down to the sea at Portobello or Musselburgh.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
The house is a family home, wifi, quiet, piano, 3 bedrooms... it is on a very quiet street and the neighbours are all nice. You'll have local contact numbers for people who live locally and know the house and cats.

A great time
Rowan was very friendly and relaxed. She gave short and clear instructions, so no questions came up during my stay. It was a pleasure to stay at her house in the nice and quite neigbourhood. The bus stop is no five minutes away, 20 minutes to the city center. You can also reach Portobello beach (which is definitely worth a trip!) by bus in 25 minutes. The cats were "distanced" at first, but already after two days grew warmer with me, and at the end of the week, both came onto my lap. Very sweet! I would come again :)

Friendly cats in Edinburgh
Rowan is lovely and gave an easy and precise list to follow. The cats were very friendly and enjoyed a little pampering. A nice comfortable home situated very close to bus stops and an easy walk to shops. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the sites of Edinburgh and surrounding beaches. I would easily do it again.

A pleasure to meet
Rowan was super friendly and hospitable. From the moment of arrival, I was the recipient of warmth, courtesy, and great hospitality. She is an excellent conversationalist and has great taste in literature too. Her cats are well-behaved and easy to look after. Highly recommended!

Lovely cats, quiet house
The cats were adorable, a bit shy at the beginning but quite affectionate in the end. They did not make any noise or complain, just loving and easy cats. The house, a family home, included two floors and a backyard. The neighborhood was very quiet and well connected with the city center by bus. The homeowner was very nice and reachable and gave exhaustive instructions. I would repeat the experience!

Edinburgh and the Mountain
It was a great pleasure to care for these two black cats, mother and daughter. And a real pleasure to communicate with their owners, whom I didn't have the chance to meet. Their home is cozy and quiet, away from the bustle, with a little view of Arthur's Seat. Ask about the nearby trail up the back of the mountain. The bus into town runs nearby, and another goes out to the beach. The supermarket, while not close, is within walking distance.
