Why choose us?

MindMyHouse is something of a different creature to those other house sitting matching services you will find on the Internet. For a start, in 'online years' we are pretty old now! We launched our service from a tiny flat in London, UK in February 2005 when we were one of only four online house sitting matching sites with a global userbase.

You also won’t find us on social media for a reason! We think that stuff is fluff. We're just a small 'mom and pop' family business – our business ethos is about providing our members with an advertising free zone in which to find each other and meet up to do all that adventuring while house sitting worldwide. No sponsorship, or pictures of women laughing at salad on our site! We also believe in humans (no bots or AI).

• I just created my new profile on this site and... ( Owner)

  I just created my new profile on this site, it was approved within 24 hours by very responsive customer service and within 12 hours of listing pending dates I was contacted by 6 promising sitters who were willing to travel internationally and provide references and reviews. It’s an easy to navigate, simple interface with a few basic sections, filling out the profile and uploading a maximum of 10 photos (no separate area for pets) and a brief bio and a few other description boxes I was done within 20 minutes. My listing was approved within 24 hours, and within the first 12 hours of posting dates for a pending trip next March I received a half dozen replies from sitter applicants willing to travel internationally, who are ready and willing to provide extensive references and reviews, many linking back to THS. The fee for hosts is $29 for life. There are no yearly renewal or booking fees. Sitters pay the same but it’s an annual renewal.
